Summary

In a refugee camp, an elderly man leads a group of about 30 people, including a curious little girl, to the castle of Duke Nan Xue, who has recently ascended to power. The elder assures them they won't starve in the Duke's castle. As they travel, Wang Jie observes the lack of hover cars in the northern lands, questioning the Duke's resources. Upon reaching the castle, they are greeted by the powerful Duke, who shows a warm demeanor towards the elder. Wang Jie, feeling reassured about the Duke's character, decides to leave, giving a card to the little girl, Xue'er, before disappearing, leaving her in tears.
