Summary

Zhang Ye, a young job applicant, is facing a challenging interview for a radio host position. Despite his average appearance, he impresses the interviewers with his exceptional talent, reciting a 900-word script in 10 seconds from memory. However, the interviewers are hesitant to give him a chance due to his looks, considering the broadcasting industry's emphasis on appearance. They offer him alternative positions, but Zhang Ye is determined to pursue his dream as a radio host. He is given a second question, which is to create an original Russian poem, despite not knowing the language. Zhang Ye recalls a Russian poem he memorized in college and decides to write a prose poem, using his understanding of the language's rhythm and melody to create something new and original.
