Summary

Mei Lun confronts a demonic entity emerging from an Abyssal rift, engaging in a battle of wits and taunts. The demon, later revealed to be the Three-Headed Hellhound, demands to know Mei Lun's intentions. Mei Lun proposes a deal: he will help break the demon's seal in exchange for a thousand years of loyalty. The Hellhound initially refuses, claiming it can escape on its own, but Mei Lun cleverly threatens to reinforce the seal, forcing the demon to reconsider. Eventually, the Hellhound agrees but demands Mei Lun soothe its soul weekly with a semi-artifact. After sealing the pact, the Hellhound transforms into its true form, a colossal creature with fifty heads, and pledges loyalty. Mei Lun then learns about the Hellhound's weakened state and its need to consume demons to regain strength. He also discovers the political dynamics within Hell, particularly regarding Ba Er Ze Bu, a significant figure. Mei Lun's companion, Ma Er Ku Si, reveals his true identity as a potential ally in the political struggles of Hell and hints at a plan to rescue Prince Levi Stus, a powerful figure imprisoned by Asmothiels, the lord of the ninth layer of Hell. Mei Lun is intrigued by the prospect of gaining power within Hell but remains cautious about the potential dangers involved.
