Summary

In the small courtyard of Fang Shan, Ning Qiushui senses a ghostly presence outside his window at dawn. Realizing it may be a vengeful spirit, he cautiously opens the window to find a ghost seeking revenge on sinister guests. The ghost reveals it has found Sun Sun, a figure from Ning Qiushui's past. Rushing to a nearby farmhouse, Ning Qiushui discovers a decayed, yet alive, Sun Sun, who confirms he faked his death twelve years ago. Their conversation reveals Sun Sun's connection to Fang Shan and hints at deeper mysteries, suggesting that three individuals returned to life, not just two.
