Summary

Zhong Shi Dao, due to Li Yan Qing's return, appoints Zhang Shu Ye as the chief examiner for the martial arts examination, while he reviews detailed intelligence on the Liangshan armies brought back by Li Yan Qing. This intelligence, obtained through Luan Ting Yu, includes vital information about the Liangshan troops and their resources. Zhong Shi Dao praises Li Yan Qing for his efforts, assuring him that his contributions will be recognized despite the intelligence not being gathered personally by him. Li Yan Qing is assigned to command one of two new cavalry units, Xuanwu, while Zhang Shu Ye will oversee the intelligence department. After discussing troop allocations and the shortage of soldiers, Li Yan Qing expresses concern about the training of new cavalrymen, given the pressing threat from the Jurchens.
