Summary

Xubu Diaonan, a minor noble of the Xiongnu, watches the Han cavalry's prowess with dread, realizing the Han Dynasty's growing strength poses a threat to the Xiongnu's dominance. He contemplates a full-scale attack on the Han before their cavalry fully develops, but feels powerless as a low-ranking figure. His deputy, Han Ju, urges action against the Han, revealing his deep-seated hatred and desire to prove loyalty.
