Summary

In the story, Yue Li Gu absorbs the essence from the defeated Gorefiend Serpent, enhancing his spiritual power. After healing, he witnesses his companion Wang Hai face a beast, ultimately securing victory and also absorbing its essence. However, as they approach the palace, a puppet struggles against an internal energy eruption, revealing the true danger of their trials. Yue Li Gu realizes that the challenges were merely illusions of fairness, leading to a life-and-death test in the Palace of Ten Thousand Demons. The fate of the group now hinges on the puppet's ability to withstand the eruption, symbolizing their slim chance of survival.
