Summary

Xiao Fan searches for vines to cross a river, using a stone axe for cutting. He finds a suitable vine and, after some struggle, retrieves a twenty-meter length. Guo Hong swims across to pull the vine, securing it to a tree. Xiao Fan, unable to swim, uses the vine for support to cross safely. After reaching the other side, they plan to explore the riverbank for resources. Despite their hopes, they find the area barren and devoid of human signs, leading to disappointment as they reach a beautiful but empty beach.
