Summary

In the Kingdom of Zhu Que, the Yan Huang Academy is a prestigious institution for Beast Tamers, revered by the royal family and powerful factions. Today, Li Tianming arrives for the academy's four-year palace examination, reflecting on his past experiences and the classmates who have advanced while he was away. As he registers at the Phoenix Hall, he encounters old classmates Fang Zhao and Lin Qing Yu, who express disbelief at his return, given his previous failure and the loss of his companion beast. Tensions rise as Fang Zhao confronts Li Tianming, but Lin Qing Yu ultimately agrees to register him. Li Tianming enters the Yan Huang Battlefield, a legendary site for trials and competitions, where he notices familiar faces among the spectators, including Li Yan and Liu Qing.
