Summary

The story follows the aftermath of a cult-fighting mission where the protagonist and his team are hailed as heroes. Fang Yao Zu helps them create cover stories, transforming them into special forces and undercover agents. They are released from imprisonment and welcomed back to Chengdu with media attention. Miao Hu joins the paranormal investigation team, while Qiu Xiang stays with the protagonist. They spend a day shopping, with the protagonist buying gifts and enjoying Qiu Xiang's company. The day ends with her warning him not to enter her room, leaving him to sleep alone.
