Summary

In a tense exchange, Wu Mian receives two powerful Chu Tian Zhu beads from Gui Bu Gui, which he recognizes as essential for defense against threats. Meanwhile, Wang Mang, the beleaguered emperor, seeks help from Wu Mian, expressing despair over his rule amid chaos in Chang'an City. Wu Mian coldly rebuffs him, highlighting Wang Mang's transient power. As Wang Mang's guards follow him in retreat, Gui Bu Gui reflects on their fate. In another scene, a headless corpse of a former emperor is discovered, prompting scavengers to search for valuables, only to be interrupted by two cloaked figures demanding an elixir found on the corpse.
