Chapter 369: "Winds and Clouds of the Double Axes: Siege of the Ironhead Camp". [371]
Summary
The great lord of the Ji clan understands the challenges faced by Tie Tou but must conceal his identity. To protect the Wei clan's flank, he plans a coordinated assault where the Wei clan leads while he provides cover. The Wei clan, mostly inexperienced, initially struggles against Tie Tou's troops but adapts their strategy. Despite their efforts, they suffer heavy losses when Tie Tou leads a counterattack. Concerned about the chaos, the great lord of the Ji clan calls back his men. After the battle, he discusses a new strategy with the great lord of the Wei clan, suggesting encirclement instead of direct confrontation. Meanwhile, Shuang Gou, the deputy commander, contacts Tie Tou to inform him of the situation and the imperial court's plans. Shuang Gou reveals that the great lord of the Ji clan aims to persuade the great lord of the Wei clan to ally with the imperial court against the Yi Di's forces, taking advantage of the Wei clan's dissatisfaction and war weariness.Full content
