Summary

Zhu Hao Miao rides a sleek black steed with his curious companion, Zhao Nuo, who is experiencing the outside world for the first time. As they travel, Zhao Nuo questions the nature of the Demon Sect and its surrounding prosperous city. Zhu Hao Miao explains the hidden suffering behind the façade of prosperity. They stop at a tavern where they attract attention due to their striking appearance. A young man named Nangong Jie approaches them, revealing his interest in Zhao Nuo and making inappropriate offers. Zhu Hao Miao firmly rejects him, leading to a confrontation where Nangong Jie attempts to grab Zhao Nuo but is violently repelled by Zhu Hao Miao, who injures him severely.
