Summary

In a darkening battlefield, an officer empowered by the Dao confronts Lu Wang's cavalry, feeling their unexpected resilience despite dwindling numbers. Huo Zi Ying, a fierce warrior, charges through enemy lines, but spells from Taoist officers begin to take a toll. As Huo Zi Ying struggles against magical bindings and exhaustion, he ultimately meets his demise. The imperial cavalry, despite losses, gains the upper hand, pursuing the fleeing Lu Wang forces. Zeng Jin Zhong, the last of his cavalry, faces overwhelming odds and falls to a barrage of spears. The battle concludes with significant casualties on both sides, leaving the Taoist priests and Zhang Ling reflecting on the heavy toll of the conflict.
