Summary

Ning Qiushui learns from the Sewing Undertaker about the dangers of reviving the dead within the blood gate. As the old man succumbs to his condition, he urges Ning to burn his corpse to prevent a terrifying revival. The young man, Sun Sun, who was raised by the old man, follows this directive. After burning the old man's body, Ning Qiushui reflects on the gruesome scene of 16 corpses, all with their hearts removed. He realizes he is no longer a "Ghost Guest" but possibly an NPC or the Boss of the Blood Gate. Observing Sun Sun and Old Chen's odd behavior and attire, he suspects they are hiding something and rushes back to the crematorium for answers.
