Chapter 359: The Good Intentions of Leaving the Mountain. [359]

Summary

In this narrative, Sun Bai Lian, a spiritual monkey, encounters Xuanzang and his disciples in a treacherous mountain. Initially dismissive, she warns them about the mountain's dangers. Despite her initial reluctance, she secretly hopes Xuanzang will prove himself worthy. Xuanzang and his disciples carve warning guidelines on the mountain wall to help future travelers. A mysterious additional text appears, revealing the presence of jujube trees that can sustain travelers for three days, with a strict limit of one fruit per person. Pigsy contemplates the potential consequences of such a provision, fearing human greed might corrupt the monkey's good intentions.
