Chapter 357: Taking Advantage of the Weakness. [360]

Summary

Lu Bing is in a precarious position as he grapples with the consequences of Li Mo's imprisonment and the impending threat from the Yan Dang. Tang Yi suggests that to save himself, Lu Bing must escort Li Mo out of the capital, resign, and accept blame. However, Lu Bing is more concerned about his own safety than loyalty to Li Mo, realizing that their relationship is merely transactional. Tang Yi proposes an alternative plan to regain the emperor's trust by taking a position in Tianjin, which offers Lu Bing a chance to secure wealth and power, thus enticing him away from his loyalty to Li Mo. Ultimately, Lu Bing must choose between self-preservation and the facade of loyalty.
