Chapter 35: Unbelievable Fang Zhongyong, How Could You Be a Direct Disciple?. [35]
Summary
Ci Song, viewed as a failed examinee, surprised a senior by reciting a beautiful poem about the West Lake in June, evoking admiration and curiosity about his true talent. Encountering Bai Ye and Fang Zhong Yong, he learns that Fang has enrolled at the academy. Despite Fang's disdain, Ci Song remains composed. When Bai Ye notices a purple jade pendant on Ci Song, he realizes it signifies Ci Song's status as a direct disciple of the strict Mr. Ning Ping An, shocking both him and Fang. Although Ci Song clarifies he is a nominal disciple due to his foundational weaknesses, the revelation of his connection to such a respected teacher changes the perception of those around him, especially Bai Ye.Full content
