Summary

The chapter describes a group of muscular men celebrating the return of a raft filled with prey. Among them, a strong man named Xiong is praised for his successful hunt. An elder notices a wounded boy, Chu Tian, and decides to take him back to the village for care. As they arrive, the villagers show respect to their ancestral spirits. Chu Tian is placed in a thatched cottage, where two women tend to his injuries with herbal remedies. Meanwhile, the brawny man and women settle down for the night.
