Summary

The two dogs, accompanied by several officers, arrived at the Grand Duke City of the Ji Clan and met with the Grand Duke in his small study. The Grand Duke informed them that the court had agreed to his suggestion to form an alliance with the various clans of Yi Di and participate in their secret activities. The two dogs were to take on the role of Deputy Elder in the Ji Clan's military elder office and lead as the Grand Duke's special envoy to engage with Yi Di's various clans. The Grand Duke also appointed the two dogs' officers as Chief Messengers in the Ji Clan's military elder office. The two dogs and their officers were tasked with gaining the trust of Yi Di's kin and monitoring their covert movements while exercising utmost caution. The Grand Duke and the two dogs also agreed on secret codes to exchange opinions and information silently in the enemy camp.
