Summary

Natsuki, distressed, believes survivors are trapped beneath collapsed stones from a previous battle with demons. Zhang Su helps clear the debris, revealing a tunnel leading to an underground shelter filled with frozen bodies of demons and refugees who succumbed to the cold after being cut off from safety. As Zhang Su explores the shelter, he discovers a child holding a thermal box containing a rare plant, the last remnant of hope from the Svalbard refuge. He retrieves the plant and seeds, returning to Natsuki, who mourns the loss of life. Zhang Su encourages her to focus on planting the seeds of hope for the future. Meanwhile, a demon general, Wo La Si, prepares to hunt Zhang Su and his companions after confirming there are no survivors left on the island. In a different setting, Natsuki plants the bountiful plant in a fertile, humid environment while grappling with her feelings of helplessness over the lost lives. Despite her friends' attempts to cheer her up, she struggles with her emotions, wishing for the plant's growth to symbolize hope and renewal.
