Summary

In the night, Jinyang's defenses were tightly secured, with soldiers patrolling and elite troops at the gates. Liu Wenjing, traveling with a flag of the Dugu Family, approached the North Gate, where a commotion drew his attention. Young members of the Dugu Family returned from a hunt, causing a festive atmosphere despite the military tension. Liu Wenjing, aware of the Dugu Clan's influence, felt powerless to act against them. A drunken young master mocked him, but Liu Wenjing maintained his composure, contemplating the Dugu Family's privileged status. Ultimately, he left the scene, heading towards Jinyang Palace, where Jian Cheng was disturbed from sleep by a request for an audience.
