Li Ke: I Just Want to Be a General.

Chapter 34: Robbed. [34]

Summary

In Chang'an City, during the monthly payday at Liguang Pavilion, second-generation heirs gathered, expecting easy money. However, their joy turned to panic when guards, led by Li An Yan, arrived to investigate alleged illicit funds. Li Shi Min, the emperor, entered, claiming he was the source of the accusation. Despite the heirs' protests, Li Shi Min seized the opportunity to take their funds, negotiating a profit share with Li Ke. After much back-and-forth, they settled on a twenty percent share. The chapter concludes with the heirs left in despair as their wealth is taken, and Li Ke feels helpless against his father's authority.
