Chapter 34: "Better Not to Meet". [36]
Summary
In Hong Kong's Tianxiang recording studio, Chen Yi Jie, dressed casually, plays the piano while discussing his new album with producer Mao Su. They contemplate the inclusion of a Mandarin song, "Long Time No See," in an album primarily featuring Cantonese tracks. Mao Su suggests adapting the song with Cantonese lyrics, leading Chen Yi Jie to propose Yang Yi, a talented songwriter, for the task. Yang Yi surprisingly completes the lyrics overnight, impressing both men. As Chen Yi Jie performs the new song, "Better Not to Meet," it evokes deep emotions in Mao Su, reminding him of lost love.
