Summary

In a desolate town, the protagonist prepares a nourishing soup with blood ginseng for friends recovering from injuries. A sudden knock reveals Gu Ming, held down by his lookalike, Gu Hai, who introduces himself as the head of the Gu family. Gu Hai apologizes for his son's past offense and presents gifts: a carving knife, a peculiar Moon Fruit, and a book of ancestral carving insights. The protagonist shows little interest in the knife and book but is intrigued by the Moon Fruit, which enhances night vision. Gu Hai reveals the book's author was a tenth-level carver, but the protagonist feels confident in their own strength.
