Summary

Ji Bei Hou, undeterred by fear, commands his men to prepare for battle as he dons his armor and leads his troops to the city walls. Observing the formidable defenses and the approaching court army, he sneers at their numbers. However, he is taken aback when civilians, including families of bandit soldiers, are used to pressure his troops to surrender. As cries echo from below, Ji Bei Hou's forces waver, prompting him to order harsh measures. Yet, his personal guards are soon overwhelmed by a surprise attack from the soldiers, who refuse to fight for him any longer. In the ensuing chaos, Ji Bei Hou realizes his defeat is imminent as he charges into battle, surrounded by betrayal and despair. Pei Zi Yun, observing from the city, acknowledges the strategic brilliance of his plan as the tides of war turn against Ji Bei Hou.
