Chapter 334: The Wise King's Roadblock [333]

Summary

Song Yao Zhi sends Zou Yu Feng to inquire if Song Xiang will take her in, reflecting on Zou Yu Feng's ambition. That evening, she departs for the Red Apricot Pavilion alone, concerned about safety. Upon arrival, she finds the pavilion desolate and meets a timid middle-aged man selling it on behalf of the owner, who has left. He informs her that Yun Niang anticipated her interest in buying the pavilion and that Xiang Si left her a letter. After receiving the letter, which expresses Xiang Si's well wishes but contains no useful information, Song Yao Zhi completes the transaction for the pavilion. She contemplates restoring its former glory and considers management options. As she leaves, her carriage is halted by Cen Qi, who wishes to speak privately, but Song Yao Zhi cleverly deflects his request, reminding him of their impending familial ties.
