Summary

However, the Jinshi, who are more focused on imperial examinations and essays, struggle with these practical skills. When one of the Jinshi, Zheng Xie, is challenged by the arrogant Su Shi, he demands a competition, which the emperor agrees to hold in the Chui Gong Hall, with the emperor himself setting the questions and conducting the examination.
