Summary

After leaving the desolate land, the protagonist and Yu notice a dramatic transformation in the environment, which was once a lush forest now reduced to shrubs due to mechanisms linked to a tomb. Despite their curiosity, Yu admits he has no answers to the protagonist's questions about the madness of those escaping the desolate land. Yu decides to train alone for personal growth and safety, accepting a gesture of friendship in the form of money. The protagonist later seeks Yuan Hong but finds he has been kicked out of an inn for lack of funds. Visiting Old Zheng, the protagonist learns of his recovery and the whereabouts of little Zheng and Yuan Hong, deciding to wait for their return instead of searching.
