Summary

Huo Ying, a young member of the Black Fire Tribe, encounters Ye Zi, a maid, and questions her about her errand. She reveals she is to invite Chief Huo Yan to a meeting with the Black Robe priest, Lu Chen. Huo Ying, initially frustrated, decides to send Ye Zi back to inform Lu Chen of the meeting. Meanwhile, Ye Zi returns to the stone house where Lu Chen resides, and after recounting her encounter, Lu Chen seems indifferent but ultimately decides to go to the meeting with A Tu, his wolf companion. He instructs Ye Zi to summon all the Black Fire Guards, which surprises her. As she leaves the stone house, she feels an unsettling chill.
