Summary

Hugo revealed the shocking origins of two witches from the Middle Ages: Elizabeth Gage, a Hungarian Countess known for her ageless beauty, and Thomas Qian Nong, a priest. Elizabeth was infamous for kidnapping and killing hundreds of maidens, ultimately imprisoned and sentenced to death. However, she and Thomas mysteriously escaped, leaving a trail of brutal murders, including entire church clergy and nobles. Their supernatural abilities and repeated escapes from capture led to a massive witch hunt resulting in over a million people being burned alive.
