Summary

Shen Jia Xing, while stewing meat, overhears a commotion and decides to support Han Qi Xiu's advice to keep his granddaughter, Shen Jiao, away from Qian Shu Meng for her safety. Shen Jiao, who respects both men but trusts Han Qi Xiu more, agrees to stay home. Despite this, Shen Jia Xing feels frustrated that Shen Jiao listens to Han Qi Xiu without protest, contrasting her previous defiance towards him. As time passes, Shen Jiao and Han Qi Xiu grow closer, exploring Hai City together. After Han Qi Xiu returns to NJ, Shen Jiao declines Qian Shu Meng's invitations, feeling relieved. Meanwhile, Aunt Lu, grateful for Shen Jiao's kindness, becomes proud of her new bicycle, which boosts her confidence. In a dark twist, Shen Xiu escapes from the Haishi Mental Hospital, plotting revenge against Shen Jiao. However, while trying to clean herself by a pond, she falls in and struggles to stay afloat, ultimately sinking as a shadow watches her demise.
