Summary

A character notices a black dot drifting in the sea, suspecting it could be something from their ship, the Broken Wind. They decide to wait by the shore with Lin Yu Xuan, who questions whether the dot will reach them. As it gets closer, they wonder if it could be a whale, leading to a moral dilemma about saving or consuming it. Eventually, the dot reveals itself to be a lifeboat from their shipwreck. They excitedly swim to it and find two unconscious survivors: an old soldier and a young foreign woman. Lin Yu Xuan assesses their condition, determining they are alive but dehydrated.
