Summary

Xiao Fan, feeling uncomfortable in his thatched cottage, decides to construct a town, starting with his house. He marks out a flat area near a valley and plans a layout with roads and houses. He aims for a traditional Chinese courtyard design, with Liu Ting assisting in the blueprint. Facing material challenges, he finds a nearby river for sand and stones, planning to make bricks and transport them via bamboo rafts. With hundreds of workers, they quickly progress on the foundations and walls. After ten days, Xiao Fan's house is completed, featuring a yard, kitchen, and living spaces. Despite its emptiness, he cannot move in yet, as he needs furniture. Guo Hong and Chen Liang's houses are also finished, and plans for a military camp begin.
