Chapter 327: Fourteen Players, The Athletics Team. [327]
Summary
The Wizards signed several free agents, including Rafe Alston, La Jia Bei Er, and David Wesley, who were eager to join the team. Alston and Bei Er signed for the minimum salary, while Wesley secured a mini mid-level exception. Yang Rui was unhappy with the short-term contracts, but the management disagreed, citing risks and preferring not to sign fringe players to long-term deals. The team still felt weak, so Yang Rui recommended signing forward Tang Ye Er Marshall, who had a wealth of experience and was well-rounded, with the ability to create space for three-point shots. Yang Rui was optimistic about Marshall's potential and believed the team's backcourt pairing was reasonable, with Tyronn Lue, Alston, and Wesley. Even without Matt Barnes, Yang Rui was confident the Wizards could make the playoffs with their excellent players on both offense and defense.Full content
