Summary
The Guandou army, led by their Elder, halted in an open area to rest before advancing towards the Xia Jia court's new city, avoiding potential ambushes in narrow mountain passes. Meanwhile, the Xia Jia troops planned a surprise attack to demoralize the Guandou forces, believing that the latter would struggle with supplies after a long journey. As the Guandou army began their meal, the Xia Jia light cavalry launched a sudden attack, catching them off guard. The Guandou troops attempted to counterattack but were overwhelmed and forced to retreat under the Elder's command. The Xia Jia forces pursued them, inflicting casualties. After the Guandou army retreated, the Xia Jia defenders regrouped and established camps to secure their position. The acting commander of the Huai Mountain Clan ensured supplies for the Xia Jia troops and sent Chang Feng to scout the Ying He Bu Luo troops to prevent them from aiding the Guandou army. Upon arrival, Chang Feng discovered the devastation of villages near Ying He Bu Luo's main city.Full content
