Summary

Wu Lao Er reminisces about his past while dining with Che Qian Zi. He recounts his time at the Songliao Oilfield and his connection with Mai Chang Xi, whose wife he became close to. When a rescue mission for a missing exploration team went awry, he joined the team despite sensing danger from a demonic beast, the Locking Earth Dragon. After a series of mysterious disappearances, Wu Lao Er used a wild boar as bait to lure the beast. In a desperate fight, Mai Chang Xi sacrificed himself to save Wu Lao Er, who ultimately defeated the Earth Dragon with a bolt of heavenly lightning. Before dying, Mai Chang Xi entrusted his wife and child to Wu Lao Er.
