Summary

Ye Zi, a young tribal maiden from the Shenmu Tribe, is introduced as having distinct features of her people, including tattoos and sharp fangs. Lu Chen, observing her, notes her relative delicacy compared to other barbarian women. Despite her awe and curiosity towards him, she harbors resentment due to her tribe's destruction, which Lu Chen had a role in. As tensions rise within the Black Fire Tribe regarding leadership and loyalty, Lu Chen commands Ye Zi to approach him. She kneels before him, feeling both fear and respect. Lu Chen questions her about her kin, prompting her to offer her service in exchange for their safety. When a fearsome black wolf threatens her, Lu Chen calms it, revealing his control over the creature. Ye Zi, terrified yet determined, pledges her loyalty and begins to tidy the room. When Lu Chen inquires about the fighting men among her people, Ye Zi panics and begs for their lives, even offering to strip off her clothing as a sign of submission.
