Summary

Xu Wan Qing confronts Gu Xiu, who is setting up a pill refining formation in her courtyard. Despite her attempts to persuade him to forgive her for past wrongs, Gu Xiu reveals that she is the main ingredient for the pill he intends to refine. As he begins to use a series of hammer strikes to "awaken" her as a medicinal ingredient, Xu Wan Qing realizes the dire situation she is in, pleading for her life and recalling a powerful artifact she possesses. However, the artifact does not respond to her commands and instead seems to align with Gu Xiu. As the pain intensifies and her pleas go unanswered, she comes to the horrifying realization that Gu Xiu may not be who he appears to be, leading her to question his true identity.
