Chapter 32: Fruit Wine. [32]
Summary
Song Cheng, an orphan raised by a drunkard master, savors a rare wine gifted by Lin Mu Ran, contrasting it with the inferior wines of the Southern Yan Kingdom. He refrains from drinking in front of Lin, fearing she disapproves. The next day, Zhong Yao Yao, excited to see Lin, is disappointed to learn she's gone but receives a jar of wine from Lin. The wine's fruity aroma captivates her, and she shares it with Song Cheng, who prefers his richer drink. As Zhong Yao Yao leaves, she drunkenly encounters her father, Zhong Lao, who, recognizing the wine's quality, takes it from her despite her protests.Full content
