The Great Idle Person of the Zhenguan Era.

Chapter 318: The Hu Merchant Caravan. [325]

Summary

Wang Zuan and Li Su discussed a matter, with Li Su suggesting something that didn't sit well with Wang Zuan. Li Su's words seemed like a good deal for future generations, but Wang Zuan was more concerned about his current situation and who would inherit his title. Li Su tried to make Wang Zuan understand, but Wang Zuan was stubborn. Li Su later visited the Prefect of Jingzhou, Liu Hong, who treated him with great courtesy. Li Su attended a banquet where he was toasted until drunk. He then spent two days recovering from his hangover. As Li Su continued his journey northward, he felt bored and frustrated with the slow pace of the horse carriage. He couldn't help but think about his life in the past and the vast difference between his current situation and his past. Li Su's bodyguards, Wang Zhuang and Zheng Xiao Lou, were riding horses outside the carriage. During the journey, Wang Zhuang exclaimed in surprise and started banging on the outside of the carriage, asking Li Su to come out and take a look. Li Su was lazy, but eventually, he opened the curtain and saw a familiar face in a Hu people's merchant group following behind them. It was Xu Ming Zhu, a woman who looked worn out but showed strong determination. Li Su stared blankly for a while, confirming his suspicion, and then ordered the entire troop to halt. The Hu merchant caravan behind them also stopped, and the leader of the caravan seemed uneasy.
