Summary

In the golden bowl, Du Shoushou wakes to find An Zheng unconscious, reflecting on the battles he must have faced. Xuan Ting, a monk, communicates that he misled pursuers about their whereabouts. As they travel through the desert towards Che Xian, Du Shoushou learns about Xuan Ting's reluctance to share personal secrets. Meanwhile, in Fanggu City, the aftermath of a war devastates many martial arts sects, while the Tianqi Sect begins reconstruction efforts. The Nineteenth Demon, having suffered defeat, plots to manipulate Duan Ren, promising him power and revenge against An Zheng, ultimately forcing a dark transformation upon him.
