Summary

In the depths of Wuyou Cave, Wang Ning An reflects on the underground drainage system of Bianliang, which has become a refuge for outlaws and the impoverished. Wuyou Cave, a gang of over a hundred thousand, has thrived in the sewers, making it difficult for officials to combat their presence. Despite the Song Dynasty's strong military, the existence of Wuyou Cave persists due to corruption and the allure of its underground economy, which includes trafficking and exploitation. Wang Ning An, determined to eradicate this threat for the stability of commerce, seeks the help of Bao Zheng, who has a map of the sewer system. They devise a plan to strike against Wuyou Cave, but Wang Ning An's preparations are interrupted when Yang Xi arrives, bloodied and panicked, carrying an injured girl, Su Ba Niang, pleading for help.
