Summary

Li Mu and his companions have returned to the border for over six months, where they have kept their visit to the military cemetery a secret. The border soldiers, especially Wu Bei Chen, have improved significantly in swordsmanship due to the Heavenly Sword 36 Styles manual. Wu Bei Chen has risen to East Gate commander. Li Mu visits Cai Cai and her grandmother, who are thriving in Longcheng. However, tensions rise when envoy Wu from the grasslands arrives, showing inappropriate interest in Cai Cai, causing discomfort among the soldiers. Li Mu intervenes, aware of the escalating situation at the border, as Cai Cai expresses her determination to stay and defend her home.
