Summary

Bai Ze and his companions navigate a slippery path designed by ancient builders, encountering a sturdy suspension bridge with rotting planks. As they cross, Da Hu Zi attempts to shake them off using the bronze chains. Bai Ze, aware of the danger, stabilizes the chains and quickens his pace to reach safety. Da Hu Zi's plan backfires when the chain he is on breaks, causing him and his henchman to fall into the river. Despite their swimming skills, they are swept away, and a pool of blood appears, indicating a deadly force at work. Bai Ze, having eliminated a threat, remains curious about the unseen danger that claimed them. The old man observes calmly, unfazed by the loss.
