Summary

Li Su, wearing a white changshan and jade belt, impressed Xu Ming Zhu with his handsome appearance. She tied a silver fish bag to his belt, a symbol of his identity and a gift from the Emperor. Li Su's article had stopped the evil policies harming the people, and he was praised by scholars and commoners. Xu Ming Zhu suggested visiting the ancestral temple to pay respects, and Li Dao Zheng agreed. However, Li Dao Zheng soon turned stern, scolding Li Su for not consummating his marriage and sleeping in a separate wing. Li Su suggested marrying another woman, but Li Dao Zheng became enraged and chased him with his magic artifact. Li Su escaped and met Dong Yang by the riverside, where they discussed his father's temper and Dong Yang's experiences in the Imperial Temple. Li Su teased Dong Yang about her presence at the temple and her reaction to his poem, which had made him famous throughout the land.
