Chapter 306: Underground Fire Cave. [312]
Summary
Lu Chen and Huo Yan descend into an underground cave, where they discover the fire god's altar. The atmosphere is warm and humid, with a faint red glow leading them deeper. Lu Chen questions why the altar is underground, contrasting it with human beliefs about deities residing in the heavens. Huo Yan explains that this has always been the case for their tribe. As they progress, the air grows hotter, and they eventually arrive at a massive cavern filled with flowing magma, which is the source of the red light. Huo Yan points out the fire god altar, a giant rock surrounded by stone pillars, and they navigate carefully across precarious paths over the magma. Huo Yan insists on taking a longer route to the altar, adhering to ancestral rules, leaving Lu Chen curious about the consequences of taking a shortcut.Full content
