Chapter 305: "Rescuing Emperor Yi: The Counterattack of the Double-faced Strategist". [307]

Summary

Che Sheng escorts the Lone Wolf back to the Equipment Department and is later summoned by a military officer, who confers upon him the title of Zhen Zong of the Ying He tribe for his role in locating Yi Di. Initially shocked, Che Sheng fears the implications of rescuing Yi Di, a court criminal, but the officer reassures him that rescuing Yi Di serves the legitimate court against the false Xia Jia court. They plan to gather allies for the rescue, and Che Sheng decides to ensure his family's safety first. He requests leave to return to his hometown, where he meets a cavalry unit from the Ying He tribe and is welcomed by the tribe's Elder. Che Sheng's family is settled comfortably, and he is honored by the Da Jun, who appoints him as a key minister to strategize the rescue of Yi Di and restore the court. Che Sheng pledges to assist in this mission.
