Summary

Xiao Fan, guided by children, discovers a hidden valley at the foot of Da Shan, which serves as a perfect sanctuary for the tribe. After enjoying time there, they return to a thriving life of fishing and trading. However, their peace is shattered when a bloodied tribesman warns of an attack. The tribe quickly evacuates, but two members are captured. Xiao Fan feels guilty, believing his fishing traps and pottery attracted the attackers. After escaping, the tribe mourns their losses but quickly adapts, even starting to build a new campsite. The chapter ends with uncertainty about their future.
