Summary

Zhou Zhen realizes that the two girls he was following have been gone for seven minutes, despite it feeling like only seconds. He discovers a hidden camera and uses his hacking skills to access the school's surveillance system, revealing that while the campus appears empty, it is overrun with zombies. As he tracks the girls, he sees them interacting with others before entering a teaching building, where they are soon surrounded by a horde of zombies. Zhou Zhen rushes to help but finds the building empty. Inside, Shi Xiao Li, one of the girls, is attacked by zombies and severely injured. Zhou Zhen attempts to perform surgery to save her, but she becomes infected and attacks him before he can complete the procedure. Realizing that he cannot change the predetermined plot of the story, Zhou Zhen feels a heavy burden as he contemplates the fate of another colleague, Chen Mao, who is next in line for a tragic outcome.
